The area of South San Jose is largely a residential community with little influence from the major commercial infrastructure that exists in neighboring cities and towns.  It does, however, benefit as a bedroom community from this infrastructure.  A large number of residents are affiliated with either the high technology sector represented in and around Silicon Valley or with the higher education community represented by colleges and universities in the area that attract students from all over the world.

As a neighborhood in San Jose, South San Jose is close to just about everything, and residents don’t have to drive far to get what they want.  Shopping centers, department stores, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, bars, and clubs are all within a short drive.  Regularly cited as one of the safest big cities in the nation, San Jose as a whole is a great place to live not just because it offers everything to keep a family entertained, but also because it is a city that cares about its people and tries to keep the quality of life as high as possible.  The Mediterranean climate doesn't hurt, either.  San Jose generally experiences over 300 days of sunshine per year with average temperatures in the cool 70's.  Summers are dry while winters are mildly cool and sometimes wet.

Of course,  no matter how nice an area might be to live in, owning and operating a property for profit is a challenge anywhere.  Rules and laws must be learned, tenants found and managed, properties physically maintained, and records meticulously kept.  These are jobs which are usually no problem for a professional manager to handle, but the property owner acting as his or her own manager might find the entire task stressful and frustrating - especially if that owner has no prior experience in property management.  Generally, a property owner who acts as his or her own property manager and who later partners with a South San Jose property management service won’t ever go back to managing solo.  Owners who partner with professional teams of experienced property managers have more time for themselves, more resources at their disposal, and generally fewer headaches than their property owning counterparts working solo.  In most cases, property owners who partner with professional managers need only sit back and wait for their rental profits to start rolling in.  If anything needs to happen with the property, the property manager is fully equipped and authorized to ensure that everything that must get done will get done; all on behalf of the property owner.

If a property owner is apprehensive about partnering with a professional management team because of the costs involved, then these apprehensions are generally unfounded.  In most cases, the property manager doesn't get paid unless the property owner gets paid and, even then, the manager’s cut of the profits is only a small percentage of the amount earned by the property in rent paid by tenants.  In other words, South San Jose property management services can actually pay for themselves time after time.
